A pair of flats that I decked out for a good friend's Christmasbirthday present (: Did this a while back at the end of December. Just finally bothering to post up pics now, haha.
Left shoe: "The Frog Prince" or "Iron Henry" (with obvious focus on Henry and the 3 bands around his heart! ;^; )
Right shoe: "Little Red Riding Hood"
Sides: I did 7 ravens based off the Brothers Grimm tale, "The Seven Ravens". Oh ho ho.
Done with copics, white acrylic for mistakes, and alot of time and patience (and love!). Eventually coated them with some layers of fixative so they wouldn't die
wow! I've been making shoes myself and I've been looking into working with Copic markers as well, except they're expensive as crap where I live (7 Euros each which is like 12 dollars a marker) so I'm wondering if it's a good investment. Do you use alot of ink when working with Copics? Are they at all high maintenance or are they a good investment for canvas shoe designing?

Oh wow. o_o I think it depends on what kind of copics you use. There are some really expensive ones, but I use Prismacolour copic markers, so they're a bit cheaper. Maybe about... $30-40 for a pack of 12 or so? I've invested in a bit, and they've been serving me pretty well.
Depending on the material of the shoes that you'd be drawing on, the bleed of the marker will vary. The ones I drew one bled like a a bugger o_o; But overall, I don't think much ink is used (at least on the ones I did (: ), and the Prismacolours aren't high maintenance at all. I can't tell you much about the other more expensive copics though.
Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
